Accounting Vice President


SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the processes and controls that define our financial accounting, tax, and consolidations “ecosystem
  • Lead a growing team of accounting professionals and clerical team members, ensuring continuous development coupled with process improvements that will allow the function to scale with growth, while enhancing team member job satisfaction and engagement
  • Efficiently and consistently produce accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with our internal controls
  • Manage month, quarter and year-end close, and oversee monthly consolidated financial statements including analytical review of monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records and reporting
  • Implement, document, and oversee the execution of internal controls
  • Identify and execute process enhancements within our consolidated accounting services model
  • Manage internal and external financial reporting requirements, including preparation of the annual Audit Report, dashboards, and ad hoc requests
  • Drive cash optimization and working capital management strategies and processes
  • Spearhead technical accounting research and management of complex accounting issues
  • Oversee and maintain accounting infrastructure within ERP platform
  • Lead and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax reporting utilizing both internal and external 3rd parties
  • Work closely with the business development team on transactions in accordance with company accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure the completion of purchase accounting for all acquisitions in accordance with GAAP, ASC 805, ASC 350

 

Key SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • At least 10+ years corporate experience in a controller position at an MSO/DSO organization
  • Multi-location consolidated accounting experience
  • Developed and documented accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Experience hiring, training, and managing staff
  • Deep understanding and strong application of US GAAP
  • Understanding of applicable policies, laws, and regulations
  • Expert with Excel and report writing/business analytic tools

Education:

  • Candidate credentials will include an undergraduate degree in Accounting with active CPA license
