Dr. Steven D. Alaniz is deeply committed to dental excellence and continuous learning. He tailors treatment plans to prioritize both the functional and aesthetic needs of his patients. For those seeking extra comfort during procedures, he offers nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and collaborates with a dental anesthesiologist for full sedation options.
His dedication to education ensures his patients benefit from the latest techniques and technology. A distinguished member and Master in several associations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Fort Worth District Dental Society, Dr. Alaniz achieved the Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2020—a commendation held by under 2% of general dentists in the U.S. He has accumulated over 1,100 hours of ongoing education and also mentors at the Spear Institute in Arizona, guiding global dental professionals on CAD/CAM dentistry integration.
Dr. Alaniz’s academic background is robust. After obtaining his Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2000, he secured his DDS from Texas A&M Health Science Center – Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004. His dedication to service is evident in his 8-year commitment to the U.S. Army, where he served with the 82nd Airborne and 1st Cavalry. Post-military, he established his private practice in 2011. His pursuit of professional growth led him to a mini-residency at UCLA in TMD and Oral Facial Pain. In 2016, he became part of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and is currently the Aerospace Medicine Flight Commander at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth.
Away from his practice, Dr. Alaniz cherishes time with his four children: Bailey, Cade, KayDee, and Gracyn, and enjoys exploring major league ballparks and having date nights with his wife.
